Invisalign Braces use a series of clear, removable aligners that gradually move your teeth into their proper alignment. Our Dental Team will monitor your progress through each set of custom-made aligners to ensure your treatment is on track.
The length of your treatment will vary, depending on your starting point. However, most patients complete their treatment in 12-18 months, which is similar to traditional orthodontic methods.
Invisalign Braces are perfect for teens, age 13 and up all the way to those who are considered to be young at heart. Our dental team will evaluate your teeth and gums during your complimentary initial consultation, to rule out any contraindications for treatment, and to determine if you are an ideal candidate to start treatment. If Invisalign isn’t right for you, we will discuss the many other dental options available to you.
Invisalign Braces are used to correct conditions such as:
- Crowded Teeth: Teeth with crowding make it hard to brush and floss correctly and can lead to plaque accumulation, tooth decay and an increased chance of gum disease and, of course, the teeth look crooked.
- Spaced Teeth: Too much space in between the teeth can often be treated using Invisalign. The spacing between teeth not only looks unattractive but can lead to concerns with the gum tissue such as periodontal pockets that can accumulate plaque and an increased risk of periodontal disease.
- Crossbite: Crossbite means that the top and bottom jaws are not aligned correctly. This can lead to abnormal wear on the teeth in the form of chipping, and cracks and periodontal problems, including gum disease and bone loss. Again, Invisalign is an option for crossbite, depending on your situation.
